About the
Feature Photo

Thirty girls attended Badgerland's First Annual Cookie Constructor program this month. Girls built models of bridges and schools using 100 Shortbread Girl Scout cookies.

Thanks to the National Association of Women in Construction, our co-sponsor, for providing the expertise and mentors. And a shout-out to Erdman for hosting Cookie Constructors in Madison.

Thanks-a-Lot cookie It's the final day of the Cookie Program! Still need more cookies? Place a Planned Order before 8 pm today (Sunday) for pick-up at these cupboards yet this week: all the Badgerland Service Centers and the Tomah Area Cupboard. Remember, although the Cookie Program officially ends today you may continue selling until your cookie inventory is gone.

2014 Awards Ceremony
2104 Gold Awardees

Girl Scout Week wrapped up with an inspiring program last weekend. Badgerland Council hosted the 2014 Awards Ceremony with over 200 enthusiastic attendees cheering on the Gold and Silver Awardees, scholarship winners and graduating seniors. Special thanks to program hostess Danielle Seeger, a lifetime Girl Scout who earned her Gold Award last year.

Twelve Badgerland Girl Scouts earned their Gold Awards at the ceremony. The Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn and it comes only after a tremendous amount of hard work and time is invested to create a sustainable take-action project.

Did you see our Golden girls even went national? Girl Scouts USA tweeted their photo and posted it on their Facebook page this week!

Graduating Seniors

Eighty four Badgerland Girl Scouts are graduating high school this spring. Graduates bridged to Adult and also had a chance to take the microphone and reflect about their time spent in Girl Scouting. Graduate Sarah Ninedorff, a Girl Scout from McFarland, said the most lesson she's learned from Girl Scouts is, "I can do anything I set my mind to!" Samantha Blimbergs, Lake Geneva, noted her greatest lesson is, "No matter how busy life is you always have time to help your community."

Congratulations to all these inspiring Girl Scouts!
