We're three weekends into cookie season and, at least, one Girl Scout has already made it to Disney! We've learned that a Girl Scout Brownie sold 2014 boxes of cookies in these first few weeks of cookie sales. Remember, all Badgerland Girl Scouts who hit that goal earn a trip for two to DisneyWorld. We hope dozens more earn the trip.
Here's an example of how one Badgerland Girl Scout is working toward her Disney goal:
Claire, a Girl Scout Daisy, planned a visit to talk to her local VFW about getting cookie donations to send to the troops. Her troop, based in Alma, is donating their Cookie Share donations to locally deployed troops and Claire figured the VFW would be a natural audience to talk to. According to Claire's troop leader, "She wrote her own speech and was very polite. She even told them that she got to stay up past her bedtime to talk with them. That sealed it! She received money for 3 cases of cookies and money to send the cookies to our military." Claire is now halfway to her goal to earn the Disney trip!
What is your Girl Scout's goals? Is she having fun? How is she achieving her goals? Share your stories and photos.
