Are You Banning Bossy?

Let us know if you're using the Ban Bossy tools to launch a discussion with your Girl Scouts about the power of words. A recent study found that 1/3 third of girls surveyed attributed their lack of wanting to lead due to the fear of being called bossy or disliked by their peers. Ban Bossy, a public service campaign created in partnership with the Lean In Foundation, is aimed at encouraging girls to flex her leadership muscles- and to have fun while doing so!

Badgerland Visits the Birthplace

Badgerland Council was well represented in Savannah, Georgia the past few weeks. Savannah is the birthplace of Girl Scouts, where founder Juliette Gordon Low held the very first meeting.

And how fun is this? One Badgerland troop was touring the birthplace and ran into Girl Scout USA CEO Anna Maria Chavez in Juliette's garden. Anna was so excited she tweeted this photo nationally! Anna was in Savannah where she met with Badgerland CEO Marci Henderson and other Girl Scout professionals to plan exciting opportunities for girls as we continue to grow the Movement.
